Reviews
I went yesterday for the first time and I will definitely be going again. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the food is good and all the staff extremely friendly and funny. As dessert we tried to order tiramisu, but our waiter recommended us to get the chocolate mouse because it turned out amazing today. So we ordered the mouse and he was right, I don’t remember the last time I ate such a lovely cake. 10/10
Very traditional Italian restaurant in the centre of Rotterdam. In the summer, you can sit outside on the terrace (it is recommended to request a place outside once you make a reservation). The melanzane parmigiana was great; the ravioli with ricotta and lime was a bit too overwhelming for us.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, lovely staff. Make a reservation in advance because it’s a popular spot.
We had pastas and risotto and they really brought back flavours from Italy.
I wanted to enjoy a romantic dinner with my girlfriend for my birthday and this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious, we started with an Italian antipasto which consisted of cheese, cold cuts and other delicious dishes. Afterwards we had the main dishes which were on par and finished off with a delicious dessert. The restaurant owner offered us a taste of every dessert and finished off with a tasty shot of Nocino. We will surely return!
We ordered a Cacio e pepe and a Scaloppine Martin. The Scaloppine Martin was nice but Cacio e pepe was runny and not creamy. We then ordered Tiramisu for dessert, the mascarpone cream part was tasty but lafyfingers were very hard - which should not be the case for tiramisu. We raised the problem to one staff and she replied with an attitude “yes because we just made it 2 hours ago”. That should not be the explanation for a spoiled dessert, everyone knows tiramisu needs to stay in the fridge long hours enough for ladyfingers to be soft and therefore it is the restaurant’s responsibility to make the dish well in advance to be servable at opening hours. Staff were also pushy on getting extra orders.
Make sure you make a reservation, and if after 15:30 the day of, you must telephone the restaurant. We didn't do this, yet they still found us a small table. Fantastic atmosphere, real Italian food served by people speaking Italian and with a genuine, friendly service and very enjoyable atmosphere. A highlight of our trip to Rotterdam.
Every meal is delicious. Waiters are friendly, polite and attentive.
